Our Mission
Why We Exist
In India's cybersecurity ecosystem, technical security professionals and cyber lawyers rarely speak the same language. A data breach becomes a legal nightmare when neither team understands the other's domain. AI deployments fail security audits because engineers don't understand compliance. Legal teams misadvise because they don't understand the technology.
Cyber Security Society exists to close that gap. Founded in 2017 by Sanjay Sharma — who holds both CISA/ISO 27001 certifications and an LLB — CSS operates at the intersection most organisations ignore.
We train technologists on law, train lawyers on technology, and advise organisations on the complete picture. Our research contributes to academic literature while directly informing practical policy.

Published first research paper on AI adversarial attacks. Partnered with IIT Kanpur Cyber Security CoE.

Sr. Security Specialist with 9+ years in cybersecurity. Holds CISA (ISACA), ISO/IEC 27001 LA, LLB, and is pursuing PhD (MUJ). IIT Kanpur alumni. Currently working at Atari Inc. as a security specialist while running CSS as a registered NGO mission.
